The Sunroom Sessions

The Sunroom Sessions

We’ve been playing several acoustic shows lately and have so enjoyed the process of stripping the songs back and seeing what they’re made of…it’s slowed us down and helped us do the same thing as individuals and a band. Music, especially when played with quality, authentic ragamuffin friends is the best therapy there is.

Time is flying when the fun is to be having

Time is flying when the fun is to be having

I am so awesome.  I am to be revered…and probably should be elaborately painted and commemorated in an exorbitant oil portrait to line some hollowed hall.  Because I am the Eddy Merckx, the Tiger Woods of beginning blogs.  Yes, I said beginning blogs.  I  truly command the sport.  Watch and learn.  At least until I […]

Welcome and/or Howdy

Welcome and/or Howdy

Welcome to our new site!  We look forward to keeping you updated here on our cyber corner of the web.   …An intimate place to connect and share with us and…well, the rest of the world really.  So by “intimate” we are employing the clever use of hyperbole.  A vernacular understatement of metaphorical proportions!  Look […]

A Whole Lotta Love (through the eyes of a child)

A Whole Lotta Love (through the eyes of a child)

We are the Adams. Jared is the daddy, Jennifer is the mommy, I am the big vanilla sister Faith, I am 8 yo, and Gracie is the current little chocolate sister who is almost 5 yo, she was adopted from Haiti. We live in Michigan. Mommy asked me if I would like to do a […]

When Yes Becomes No

When Yes Becomes No

I have mulled over in my mind for the past 24 hours how on earth I was going to write this update. To be honest, I still don’t know. We received a telephone late yesterday. The Women’s voice was quiet and shaky. She started with the words, “I am so very, very sorry.” I knew […]

Songs To Feed Africa

Songs To Feed Africa

Swing by our friends at‘Songs To Feed Africa.’ You can wrap your ears around a $1 download of our ‘slightly country tinged’ song “So Called We” from the ‘Linger In Bloom’ album. Songs To Feed Africa (SFA) enlists the help of musicians and songwriters that also want to make a difference in Africa, by allowing […]

Unmet Needs. The modern musician’s cologne. The Great Hiatus Pt. II

Unmet Needs. The modern musician’s cologne. The Great Hiatus Pt. II

So I’ve been pondering, since laying down music so the seed could die, a lot of how the kingdom is so counterintuitive to our way of thinking. More realistically, our whole way of processing. …a real Isaiah 55 moment here…  Fight for peace. Kneel so your spirit can run. Work hard to find rest. Let […]

You a gittar player ain’t cha?

You a gittar player ain’t cha?

It was a night in 1988 or so and I was on the Bike Across Kansas. Referred to as B.A.K. by us alumni. 7 days to ride from Colorado to Missouri. One of the coolest things you could do. Honestly. I haven’t worn a watch since that first ride. Time has no meaning. You exist […]

Filming the proverbial video!

Filming the proverbial video!

Annagail is at Acceleration Films Studio today in Nashville.  We hope to look as cool on video as we think there is a slight possibility that we do when we’re just making music and no one else is around…sorta the ‘tree falling in the forest’ scenario but with HD and stereo boom mics.  …and Jennifer is NOT […]

Come quick! The monkey is wrenching!!

Come quick! The monkey is wrenching!!

I realize the last thing we may need is another band with another website with another philosophizing blog…but I am consistently amazed at the power and communication of music. And certainly during these times, of people passionately protesting tyrants while helicopters fire on them,  it’s ability to heal and bring some comfort.  Everyone has a song that on some certain day […]

The Great Hiatus Pt I.

The Great Hiatus Pt I.

Where did we go? It’s been a beautiful and incredibly painful sabbatical.  Sure, you’ve got your own problems too, but you clicked on this so it’s kinda my turf at the moment. I’m exercising my literary leverage. I’ve been working out the kinks in the emotional department, praying, focusing, plotting, praying, planning, praying… To sum up the […]
